4/11 – Day 4 – Beyond Mt Laguna
We got a slow start. I haven’t slept well up until now. At the Mt Laguna store I met 2 other PCT hikers, Cecil and Andrew. Lucy decided to stay in Mt Laguna for a while longer. So Cecil, Andrew and I headed out. Andrew’s feet were already badly blistered, and after a mile or so he turned back to get Hiking poles. Cecil and I continued on and completed 14.5 miles in very windy conditions. Cecil was from Boise, around 25, and had been working as a river raft guide. Cecil hiked faster than me. We camped in a rocky cubbyhole in the chaparral high up in the Laguna mountains.
