4/25 – Day 18 – Little Bear Springs

Hiked the four miles from Big Bear City up the highway 18 to the trail. A bit dangerous. There 4 hikers were getting dropped off, I met two briefly, Wildflower from near Yosemite and Spitwalker from North Carolina. The guy that dropped them off had a dog that peed on one of their backpacks. My left foot still hurts bad. Met Clair from New Zealand, Ben from Australia, and Ann a Coast Guard Captain. I hiked 19.3 miles on the PCT and 4 miles from town. Sleeping in Little Bear Springs Trail Camp with Ben from Australia, Clair, and Ann; Jeff is near by. Great views of Big Bear and the mountains behind, still with snow. My right foot is ok but the left was bloody. Cleaned feet well, will have to work on them tomorrow morning, looks like a lot of down hill and that makes them hurt more. We hiked through a lot of old fire zone but the camp was nice and forested with a little stream. I met Accent there. He was an interesting guy who was from Ohio but had spent time recently teaching English in Japan. He also had been to China and Nepal.
